QNAP Launches SMB Rackmount NAS

QNAP TS-419U+ QNAP has announced a new four-bay rackmount NAS.

The TS-419U+ is targeted at small business and workgroup applications and is based on a Marvell 1.6GHz Kirkwood storage SoC with 512 MB of DDRIII RAM.

The 1U high chassis has four hot-swappable bays that accept 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives that can be configured for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 5+ hot spare, or JBOD with online RAID capacity expansion and level migration.

Other hardware features include dual Gigabit LAN ports with failover, load-balancing and Wake on LAN, four USB 2.0 ports and two e-SATA ports.

The TS-419U+ supports all the features of QNAP’s V3.3 firmware including iSCSI initiator and target, multiple volumes, SMB, NFS and AFP network file systems and AJAX-based web interface.

Price and availability were not given.
