Meraki has announced two 802.11n cloud-managed access points.
The single-radio Meraki MR62 and dual-radio MR66 are designed for high client density, bandwidth-intensive applications and rugged conditions.
Features common to both include rugged IP67 rated cases, N-type antenna connectors, Gigabit Ethernet port with 802.3af PoE support and LED signal strength indicators.
The MR62 has a 2×2 802.11b/g/n radio with 26dBm peak transmit power, while the MR66 has one 2×2 802.11b/g/n radio and one 802.11a/n radio with 24 dBm peak transmit power.
Both radios support beamforming, 20 and 40 MHz channel bandwidth, packet aggregation, 802.1g VLAN tagging, WEP, WPA / WPA2 Enterprise and Personal wireless security, wireless intrusion detection, guest isolation and Layer 7 traffic shaping.
The new APs work with Meraki’s Cloud Controller which supports both point-to-multipoint mesh and point-to-point network topologies.
The MR62 and MR66 are available now at list prices of $699 and $1299 respectively.
