Among QNAP’s CES 2014 announcements is a fanless "silent" NAS.
QNAP’s HS-210 Silent NAS has a "modern set-top design" with a compact brushed metal aluminum case designed to blend in with other media equipment. It’s a two-bay design based on a 1.6 GHz Marvell SoC with 512 MB of RAM, 16 MB flash and a single Gigabit Ethernet port for LAN connection.
Two each USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports support external drives and printers and an SD card slot allows easy media transfer. The two bays accept 2.5" and 3.5" hard or solid state drives, but aren’t hot-swappable. It’s available now at around $290 street.

The company will also demonstrate its latest QTS 4.1 NAS OS that includes new Virtualization Station, Notes Station and Signage Station apps and the latest QVR 5.0 OS for its VioStor NVR products.
