Both cameras support 4K resolution for high definition recording with H.265 compression, and smart IR LEDs that are invisible to human sight for night vision capability good up to 30 meters.
The "cover" design aspect is a lens design that masks the IR LEDs making the LEDs invisible to the human eye when they are enabled for night vision.
Housed in IP67 rated material, both cameras are suitable for indoor or outdoor use and are PoE enabled, opening several options for enhanced placement flexibility.
