Microsoft has rolled out a refreshed and enhanced SkyDrive.
The new interface has a definite Windows 8 "tiled" look that can be changed to a more traditional Windows "detail" view. Microsoft says the new interface is designed to work on "all browsers and devices".
The revamped Search feature will look at file and folder names but also inside Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. The toolbar at the top of the page is now context-sensitive, offering different options depending on the current view.

Other improvements include drag-and-drop of multiple selected items and improved sorting, including the ability to save the sort order by folder.
The Windows and MacOS have also been refreshed with improved photo uploading and lower CPU loading when scanning local drives for changes. You still can’t choose SkyDrive folders to be synced, but Microsoft says that they are working on it.
Finally, an Android SkyDrive app is going to be available in "just a few weeks", but designed for phones, not tablets.
No changes were announced in free space allotment, which is still 7 GB.
