NewsEnGenius, ZyXEL and QNAP all announced new products last week.

EnGenius announced its Personal Cloud Solutions product line providing fee-free secure remote access to home-based files, media and IP cameras. Products include the EBK1000 IP camera (EDS1130) / AC1750 class router (EPG5000) kit, EPG500 N600 class VoIP-enabled router and three N routers (ESR600, ESR350, ESR300).

ZyXEL announced its WRE6506 AC750 class wireless extender and ZyXEL One Network (ZON) network device setup and maintenance application.

QNAP rolled out yet another new NAS line. The one (TS-131), two (TS-231) and four-bay TS-431 NASes are all powered by a Freescale dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 CPU with 512 MB of DDR3 RAM.

Slingshot announces Prepaid Wireless Broadband

Slingshot Communications today announced what it claims is the first prepaid wireless broadband access product in the United States. Slingshot’s prepaid wireless broadband service will not require a contract or credit check and will be offered in both prepaid and pay-as-you-go forms.
