Updated – Trendnet has announced a new HomePlug AV networking kit.

The TPL-304E2K 200Mbps Powerline AV Adapter Kit with Bonus Outlet features a built in filtered outlet and embedded power saving technology.

The filter is designed to reduce line noise that can reduce adapter throughput. Other features include LEDs for status and troubleshooting and a power save mode that reduces power consumption "up to 70%" when the adapter is idle.

The kit will be shipping shortly. A single TPL-304E adapter will also be available by the end of this month. MSRPs are $149.99 for the kit and $79.99 for the single adapter.
