Updated – Cisco today announced two "unified communications" (UC) products aimed at SMB buyers.
The first product in the Cisco Unified Communications 300 Series is the UC320. It features an IP PBX supporting up to 24 phones and 12 PSTN lines.
It supports Cisco’s SPA300 and SPA5000 series IP phones and up to 9 analog phones or FAX machines. The UC320 also includes a four port Gigabit switch, Gigabit WAN port and built-in 802.11n single band access point.
Phone features include voicemail and automated attendant and voice to email notification. Administration is via web browser.
The UC320 is available now at an MSRP of $995.
For larger businesses, Cisco also rolled out the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 3000. This system is designed to support up to 300 users across 10 locations.
The Cisco MCS 7890-C1 Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 3000 Appliance pictured below uses an Intel D510 CPU, 4 GB of RAM and TI TNET2685 DSP. It has two integrated E1/T1 ports.
Features include voice mail, conferencing, ability to park or hold calls, auto attendant, and standard mobility features like single number reach, extension mobility, and tele-worker support.
The Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 3000 is scheduled to be available in the second quarter. List pricing is $12,400 for 100 users. Further information is available from your Cisco Small Business Partner.
