ASUSTOR has announced a lower-cost rackmount NAS.
The AS-204RS is a small-biz NAS based on a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom CE5310 and 1 GB of DDR3 memory. Port complement includes dual Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 and one HDMI.
Its four hot-swappable bays hold 3.5" SATA II/III hard drives or 2.5" hard or solid state drives up to 4 TB. Drives can be configured in multiple single disk, JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 volumes with spare drives. Both online RAID capacity expansion and level migration are supported.
