Mvix announces dual-drive NAS

The WDN-2000 MvixBOX 2-Bay Ultra Performance NAS/Media Server supports two 3.5" SATA drives (up to 1.5 TB capacity each) and has a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port and two USB 2.0 ports. It provides both flexible media serving and LAMP webserver capability and supports SMB/CIFS, NFS and AFP network file systems.

UPnP AV / DLNA and iTunes media servers are included with support for Sonos Digital Music Systems, Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Mvix Media Centers.

The Apache web server comes pre-configured with MySQL and SQlite database and PHP support for a complete webserver solution.

Other features include dynamic DNS and Webdisk support, BitTorrent download client, USB print, FTP and FTP with SSL/TLS servers, “RapidBox” file sharing via simple URLs and schedulable full and incremental backup

The WDN-2000 is available now for $289 from Amazon.com.
