NETGEAR has added two more Intel-powered ReadyNAS rackmounts.
The ReadyNAS 3220 and ReadyNAS 4220 are successors to the ReadyNAS 3200 and 4200. Both are 12 bay 2U rackmount NASes that take 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard or solid-state hot-swappable drives.
The 3220’s hardware platform is based on a 3.3 GHz dual-core Intel Ivy Bridge i3-3220v2 with 4 GB of ECC RAM. It has four aggregatable Gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and two eSATA ports.
The 4220 comes in two models, both of which run on 3.2 GHz quad-core Intel Ivy Bridge Xeon E3-1225v2 CPUs backed by 8 GB of ECC RAM. Both versions have four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and two eSATA ports. The 4220S has two SFP+ 10G ports, while the 4220X includes two copper 10GBase-T 10G ports.
All three include dual redundant internal power supplies.
