Updated – QNAP has announced two NASes based on an ARM Cortex-A15 Dual-core processor.
The TS-231+ and TS-431+ run on a hardware platform built on a 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A15 dual-core CPU backed by 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and 512 MB of flash. Both models have hot-swappable bays accepting 2.5" and 3.5" drives, dual aggregatable Gigabit Ethernet ports and three USB 3.0 ports.
Unlike other recent QNAP NASes, these have no HDMI ports.

QNAP specs performance at 200MB/s without volume encryption and "over 150 MB/s with AES-256 bit Full NAS Volume Encryption".
The new NASes support most features in QNAP’s QTS NAS OS including the new Notes Station 2.0, DLNA, AirPlay & Chromecast support and feature expansion via QNAP’s QTS App Center. It’s not clear whether QvPC virtual Windows PC is supported due to the missing HDMI port.
The TS-231+ and TS-431+ are set to ship starting in February at MSRPs of $289 and $409, respectively.
