QNAP Releases Atom-powered four-bay NAS

The TS-439 Pro Turbo NAS is aimed at small business users and is based on an Intel 1.6GHz Atom CPU and 1GB of DDRII RAM. Other hardware features include five USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and support for 1.5 TB drives.

The TS-439 Pro supports RAID 0/1/5/6/5+spare configurations with online RAID capacity expansion and level migration. Other features include iSCSI target service for up to 8 devices, AES 256-bit volume encryption, instant SMS and email alerts and secure HTTPs access.

The new NAS also supports the media, print and other services common to QNAP’s NAS family.

The TS-439 Pro will be available shortly at an MSRP of $799.
