Synology Announces New SOHO NAS

Synology logoSynology has added a two-bay NAS.

The DS214 is powered by a dual-core Marvell Armada XP 1.066 GHz processor backed by 512 MB of DDR3 RAM. Two hot-swappable bays take 2.5" or 3.5" solid state or hard drives. Ports include one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and one Gigabit Ethernet.

Synology specs the DS214’s read and write speeds at "over 100 MB/s".

The DS214 runs Synology’s DiskStation Manager 4.3 OS that supports a wide array of cloud and storage features. It will be shipping shortly.
