Thecus Announces ThecusOS 7.0 Beta

Thecus logoThecus is trialing a new version of its NAS OS.

ThecusOS 7.0 is designed on 64-bit architecture and compliant with HTML5 and delivers significant improvements in design, performance, and user experience.

The new OS adopts the multi-windowed "desktop" design long ago adopted by rivals QNAP, Synology and ASUSTOR.

ThecusOS 7.0 features include:

  • Improved storage management with SSD cache support
  • Easy file sharing via URL or QR code
  • Media streaming via HDMI, VGA, Chromecast, Apple TV, and USB devices
  • Improved Photo Station
  • New App center with over 700 official and 3rd party apps available
