Updated – Thecus has announced a four-bay AMCC-based NAS.
The N4310 is a four-bay version of the dual-bay N2310 introduced late last year. It runs on a 1 GHz AMCC APM86491RDK SoC with 1 GB of DDR3 RAM.
Four bays accept 2.5" or 3.5" hot-swappable hard or solid-state drives configurable in single drive, JBOD and RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 volumes. LAN connection is via a single Gigabit Ethernet port and two USB 3.0 ports support drives for backup and printers for sharing. There are no eSATA or HDMI ports.
