Fabrik, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the consumer product business of SimpleTech, Inc. The purchase also includes the company's flash memory cards, USB flash drives and memory upgrades.
Fabrik has acquired the consumer business unit in a cash transaction valued at approximately $43 million, subject to certain post-closing adjustments, which includes the brand name "SimpleTech."

Thecus Technololgy recently introduced its 1U4500 Rackmount Storage Device. The 1U4500 is a four-drive SATA NAS supporting up to RAID 10 in a a 1U rackmount form factor.

Sabio Digital today announced that it has enhanced its CM4 RAID NAS with FalconStor Software’s DiskSafe Express software.
FalconStor’s DiskSafe Express allows for Bare Metal Recovery (BMR), a process in which users can boot their Windows PCs from the disk image stored on the CM4 in the event of disk failure for a complete recovery of their data "in less than five minutes".
