SonicWALL NetExtender technology, an ActiveX client downloaded transparently via the Web browser, has been enhanced in Firmware v2.1 to include an MSI stand-alone installer that allows NetExtender to be deployed through Windows Active directory and supports Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista.

The SSL-VPN 2000 and 4000 have received certification from RSA, the leader in the two factor authentication market and VPNC, the international trade association for manufacturers of the VPN market.

SonicWALL also announced its version 2.0 firmware for the SSL-VPN 200 appliance, which provides remote access capabilities to an unrestricted number of users. New features in this version include tokenless two factor authentication, improved bookmark policy options, enhancements to NetExtender’s domain suffix support, script execution at connection/disconnection, and custom port designation.
