Pulse~LINK to show UWB ‘Whole-Home’ Interactive HD Solution at CES
(Las Vegas, NV) UWB patent-meister Pulse~LINK announced that it be demonstrating its UWB-based CWave Whole-Home Interactive HD system at next week's Consumer Electronics show.
The system claims "true room-to-room networking of interactive HD multimedia content" using UWB technology. But it uses a home's coax cabling for the room-to-room part and goes wireless only within a room.
Wisair announces Wireless USB reference design duo
(CAMPBELL, CA) Ultra Wideband chipmaker Wisair today announced two new Wireless USB reference designs. Both designs use the company's latest 542 Certified Wireless USB chip, which was recently granted WiMedia PHY registration.
Atheros intros dual-band draft 11n chipset and wireless network processors
(SANTA CLARA, CA) Atheros today launched its "highest performance 802.11n solution to date". The AR5008AP-3NX2 chipset, combines Atheros XSPAN draft 802.11n technology with a newWireless Network Processor Unit (WNPU). The chipset supports concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN and is said to deliver "up to 600 Mbps aggregate physical data rates"
